One kiss lasts a moment.
But a thousand kisses can last a lifetime.
A bond that is forged in an instant and cherished for a decade.
A bond that neither time nor distance can break.
A bond that will last forever.
Or so they believe.
When seventeen-year-old Rune Kristiansen returns from his native Norway to the sleepy town of Blossom Grove, Georgia, where he befriended Poppy Litchfield as a child, he has just one thing on his mind. Why did the girl who was one half of his soul, who promised to wait faithfully for his return, cut him off without a word of explanation?
Rune’s heart was broken two years ago when Poppy fell silent. When he discovers the truth, he finds that the greatest heartache is yet to come.
Standalone Young Adult Tearjerker Romance.

Where you can buy it
Rune and Poppy have been friends since they were five when Rune and his family moved to Blossom Grove, Georgia from Oslo, Norway. Rune didn’t want to be in Georgia, he just wanted to go home but once he meets his perky neighbour Poppy the two become fast friends and more, and thoughts of Norway disappear. But nothing can last forever can it! I don’t want to go into the story too much as I think you need to go into this story almost blind!
I have to say I’m not usually a fan of dual POV stories but for this story it definitely works well. You can see both sides of Poppy and Rune’s relationship as it grows from friendship to something more!
The story itself is so beautifully written and makes you fall in love with both Rune and Poppy in so many ways. Their love for each other is pure and true, a love that everyone dreams of. This story will run you through a roller coaster of emotions from happiness to sadness and I have to say it’s definitely a tearjerker, so make sure you have the tissues at the ready. I don’t think a story has broken my heart like this since John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars.
I hadn’t heard of Tillie Cole before receiving the ARC of A Thousand Boy Kisses and after finishing such a wonderfully written story I’m saddened that it took me so long! I can not recommend this story enough. It’s powerful, heartbreaking, and joyful all rolled into one and I hope readers enjoy it as much as I did. I look forwards to reading more from Tillie Cole in the future!
