BBCOne Reveals the Airdate for Series 3 of Ripper Street!
It seems like only last week that we were all flabbergasted by the cancellation of BBC’s drama, Ripper Street and now, months after the quickly revived series was rescued by Amazon and screened through their online service, it is now arriving on our television screens!
Ripper Street will return to BBCOne on Friday 31st July at 9pm. We will see Drake, Jackson and Reid continue to fight London crime series through this prime Friday night slot.
Ripper Street has seen huge success through Amazon Prime and became he most-watched show on Amazon in the UK. If you missed our previous news, the show has also confirmed that the drama will continue for a fourth and fifth series although it is unclear whether the forthcoming series will air on the BBC.
The third series sees Bennett Drake (Jerome Flynn) returning to H Division as an Inspector, Edmund Reid (Matthew Macfadyen)is focusing on his books and Homer Jackson (Adam Rothenberg) returning to the force after four years away. We wonder what else they will be getting up to!
The show’s creator and writer Richard Warlow said: “Series three pivots around the fall from grace of ‘Long’ Susan Hart, a woman whose new philanthropic ambition is matched only by her ruthless pursuit.
“Because in Whitechapel, good intentions all too often have evil ends, and as strong as she is, Whitechapel is stronger.”
BBC have yet to release a trailer in anticipation for the return of Ripper Street but we can share with you Amazon’s trailer.
