The Line-up is Revealed for This Years Edinburgh Film Festival
Hot on the heels of the Cannes Film Festival, next month will see a festival on home soil with the 69th Edinburgh Film Festival held 17th – 28th June. The new artistic director of the Edinburgh Film Festival, Mark Adams announced yesterday the debut line up which included 24 world premieres, 8 international premieres, 16 European premieres, 84 U.K. premieres and 2 Scottish premieres.
We are delighted to be presenting such a thrilling, fun, challenging, provocative, exciting and balanced programme. There really is something for everyone and we hope that filmgoers will get a lot of pleasure out of this year’s Festival. – Mark Adams (EIFF Artistic Director)
This years film festival will include in-person events with various names from the world of film taking to the stage to be interviewed live, this will include Ewan McGregor, Jane Seymour, Malcolm McDowell, Johnnie To, and Seamus McGarvey.
British Films selection includes:

- Black Mountain Poets
- Blood Cells
- Brand New-U
- The Messenger
The International Feature Film Competition selection includes:
- 13 Minutes
- I Stay With You
- Len And Company
- Night Shift
Audience Award nominees include:
- Cop Car
- Desert Dancer
- The Overnight
And many more including special events such as the special 30th anniversary screening of Back To The Future with live accompaniment from the Royal Scottish National Orchestra on Saturday 27th June.
