Winnie the Pooh to Make a Novel Comeback!
A.A Milne passed away back in 1956 but his tales about the bear with very little brain, Winnie the Pooh have remained a firm favourite with children and a source of loved nostalgia for adults.
So now deep in the 100 Acre Wood, there is set to be what is described as an “official anthology sequel” to 2009’s Return to the Hundred Acre Wood, by David Benedictus which was the first authorised sequel to Milne’s stories.
Publishers announced days ago that the adventures of Christopher Robin and Winnie-the-Pooh would be continued by four “outstanding writers with a real understanding for AA Milne’s characters and world” and with the release calculated for next year, this would coincide with the 90th anniversary of the first Winnie the Pooh book in 1926.
Publishers have yet to indulge who these four outstanding writers are and will no doubt hold off until publication date draws near but with Pooh Bear remaining a firm children’s favourite, it’s sure to be loved.
