BREAKING NEWS! Fifty Shades Darker and Freed Get Release Dates
Hot on the heels of news that author E.L. James’ husband Niall Leonard will be writing the screenplay to the next movie, Universal announced at CinemaCon that the sequels to “Fifty Shades of Grey” — “Fifty Shades Darker” and “Fifty Shades Freed” — will be released Feb. 10, 2017, and Feb. 9, 2018, respectively.
It’s a long wait for fans of the best selling book which sold more than 100 million copies and the first movie which grossed, $568,810,483 give or take a few dollars!
Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan are still on board to play Ana and Christian in the sequels as far as we know, but with Sam Taylor Johnson bowing out as director, fans are praying for someone who will adhere to both E.L. James’ vision and respect the high expectations of the readers.
