Sony Pictures in Talks to Buy Rights to S.L. Knight’s Maestra
Studios buying the rights for yet to be published novels is nothing new this year and now Sony Pictures is in negotiations to buy the rights for Maestra, a thriller by S.L. Knight. The novel has been bought by UK publisher, Bonniere but has yet to go out for submission to any US publishers.
S.L. Knight’s yet to be published novel is about an assistant at an art auction house who gets fired for identifying a forged painting. The assistant then goes on a mission that involves seducing an art dealer connected to the forgery, all in the name of learning the fraud game.
Amy Pascal is set to produce the adaptation through her still to be named production company.
