However, before they get to that stage, there are directors, screenwriters and actors to be found so here is a round up of casting for books being filmed in the coming months that we have previously shared news about. Rooney Mara, David Wenham and Divian Ladwa have joined Nicole Kidman and Dev Patel in the cast of the feature film. Also featuring in the film are several of India’s best-known actors, including Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Priyanka Bose, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Deepti Naval.

After several weeks on location in India, Lion begins filming in Australia — in Melbourne and Hobart — in mid April.

The actor will also serve as a producer on the nine-hour event series, which will feature Sarah Gadon as Sadie, Franco’s love interest.

She’s promiscuous, headstrong and independent, and has previously spent time in an asylum after a suicide attempt.

 

 

 

 

 

billy-lynns-long-halftime-walk-paperback-by-ben-fountain__SL1500_Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk -Vin Diesel and Chris Tucker are in talks to join the growing cast of director Ang Lee’s film adaptation of the Ben Fountain’s novel which explores the national disconnect between the war at home, and the war abroad. The story follows the surviving members of the heroic Bravo Squad through one exhausting stop in their media-intensive “Victory Tour” at Texas Stadium – football mecca of the Dallas Cowboys, their fans, promoters, and cheerleaders. Joe Alwyn is set to star as the title character, Billy Lynn, with Steve Martin, Kristen Stewart and Garrett Hedlund all also in talks to join the cast.

Luna will be joined by an ensemble international cast of esteemed actors and actresses, including two-time Oscar nominee Miranda Richardson, House of Cards actor Ben Daniels, Jane Eyre actress Amelia Clarkson and Edge of Darkness star Bojana Novakovic.

This Amazon adaptation of the life of Giacomo Casanova will attempt to correct myths about the life of the Italian-born French spy.

Production is currently under way on the pilot, with an eye for it to debut on Amazon Instant Video later in the year.

 

 

And finally, not a book in the traditional sense but a comic – book.

90294X-Men: Apocolypse – Bryan Singer has confirmed exclusively to Empire that Angel will be in X-Men: Apocalypse, and that he’ll be played by Ben Hardy.

Hardy, a former EastEnders star, was cast a while back, but his character name was withheld. Ben Hardy is Angel – I shall confirm it for you!” said Singer. “But he’s not a very nice Angel! And that’s all I’ll say…”
