Offical Synopsis for Captain America: Civil War Revealed

capt america 2A leaked casting call has revealed the official synpsis for Captain America:Civil War and the date filming starts.

“Following the events of Age of Ultron, the collective governments of the world pass an act designed to regulate all superhuman activity. This polarizes opinion amongst the Avengers, causing two factions to side with Iron Man or Captain America, which causes an epic battle between former allies.”

Anthony and Joe Russo, who directed Captain America: The Winter Soldier, will be helming Civil War, and it will co-star Chris Evans as Captain America and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. The two will be at odds with each other after Age of Ultron, which leads to the epic battle mentioned in the synopsis.

Robert Downey Jr. revealed that, “It’s natural to change your views. The main thing to me is, what sort of incident could occur, and what sort of framework could we find Tony in? The clues about where we might find him next are in Ultron. But what would it take for Tony to completely turn around everything he’s stood for?”

He followed up, saying that, “Joss brings this up all the time. It’s kind of weird that these guys would have all these throw downs all over planet Earth and yet when the movie’s over, nobody minds. What would the American government do if this were real? Wouldn’t it be interesting to see Tony doing something you wouldn’t imagine?”

He asks some interesting questions about how the government would deal with the events seen in Marvel films, and we imagine Civil War will answer a lot of those questions. Will it be the final straw for the two superheroes, who didn’t really get along that well in The Avengers?

We are looking forward to seeing what the Russo pair bring to the table with Civil War after the huge success of Winter Soldier which, in our opinion was one of the best Marvel adaptations brought to the screen.

Avengers: Age of Ultron hits UK cinemas on the revised date of April 23rd.
