Bradley Cooper to Star In and Produce Adaptation of Orphan X

Gregg HurwitzFollowing his box office success with America Sniper, Bradley Cooper is teaming with Warner Bros. again to star in and produce an adaptation of author Gregg Hurwitz’s upcoming novel Orphan X.

The book which is being published February next year follows a man named Evan Smoak aka Nowhere Man, who helps others in need, somtimes by violent means. His latest job takes him inside the world of human slavery, which is being run by a detective in the Los Angeles Police Department.

Hurwitz will write the screenplay himself, based on his own novel. He has also written for both Marvel and DC comic book titles such as Wolverine, Punisher and Batman. No director is attached to the adaptation at this time.

Cooper will produce Orphan X alongside Todd Phillips, who have a production company together that is housed at Warner Bros. Jesse Ehrman and Julia Spiro are overseeing the production for the studio.

Orphan X will be coming to cinemas in 2016.
