Belfast Film Festival
When: 16th – 25th April 2015
Where: Various locations in Belfast
The Belfast Film Festival began in 1995 as part of Féile An Phobail and has developed hand in hand with the evolving culture of film patronage and filmmaking in the city.
We believe that film should be an experience, and so, as well as presenting the best in new, short and classic cinema in our spring and summer festivals, we’ve set ourselves apart by having site-specific screenings.
Cardiff Independent Film Festival
When: 17th – 19th April 2015
Where: Chapter Arts Centre
The second Cardiff Independent Film Festival will play at Chapter from Friday 17th through to our awards ceremony on Sunday 19th April 2015. Building on last year’s success, there will be further Out-Of-Competition screenings at Chapter and at Porter’s.

Edinburgh International Film Festival

The Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF) is an annual fortnight of cinema screenings and related events taking place each June. Established in 1947, it is the world’s oldest continually running film festival. The EIFF presents both UK and international films (all titles are World, International, European or UK Premieres), in all genres and lengths.
Manchester International Festival

Manchester International Festival is the world’s first festival of original, new work and special events and takes place biennially, in Manchester, UK. The Festival launched in 2007 as an artist-led, commissioning Festival presenting new works from across the spectrum of performing arts, visual arts and popular culture.
Encounters Short Film Festival
When: 15th -20th September 2015
Encounters Festival is the UK’s leading short film and animation festival, and the annual meeting place for filmmakers and industry professionals. Based in Bristol, UK, Encounters runs a six day festival in September and its main venues are Watershed and Arnolfini, on Bristol’s scenic Harbourside.
Encounters Festival is the leading UK gateway to the world’s most prestigious short film and animation awards, and nominated filmmakers qualify for the BAFTAs, the Oscars®, the European Film Awards and the Cartoon d’Or.
Raindance Film Festival
When: 23rd September – 4th October 2015
Where: Central London
Now in its 23rd year, the festival has a strong legacy of showing alternative films and uncovering the hottest new filmmakers to hit the cinematic scene. Raindance premiered hits include Memento, Old Boy, the Blair Witch Project, Pusher, Ghost World and Love Exposure. Listed by Variety as one of the world’s top 50 ‘unmissable film festivals’, Raindance aims to nurture, support and promote independent films and filmmakers from the UK and around the world.
