Win A Flying Visit from David Walliams

David Walliams will take to the sky and celebrate World Book Day with a one-day, World of David Walliams, multi-city tour by Helicopter – the #WalliamsWhirlwind Tour.
David Walliams and HarperCollins Children’s Books invite Primary Schools across the nation to enter the competition below and be in with a chance to be a part of this unique celebration of The World of David Walliams.

David-Walliams_532_1457147aDavid Walliams has taken the children’s literary world by storm. He is the biggest UK children’s author to debut this century – his books have been translated into forty languages and have sold over four million copies in the UK alone.

Mr Stink and Gangsta Granny have both been successfully adapted for TV – with The Boy in the Dress and Billionaire Boy arriving on screens at Christmas 2014 and 2015 respectively. David’s debut picture book, The Slightly Annoying Elephant, also went straight to number one in the Picture Book chart and was the bestselling hardback picture book of 2013.

Both Ratburger and Demon Dentist won the National Book Awards Children’s Book of the Year. It comes as no surprise that countless broadsheet reviewers have compared him to his all-time hero, Roald Dahl.

Competition closes 6th February 2015.

In our ordinary primary school we all love books. We are incredibly enthusiastic when it comes to reading and writing. The most popular books in our school is the jaw-aching but funny “demon dentist” & “Gangster Granny”. We would love a flying visit because it would tunnel us out of a dull world into a dream fantasy. Thus, inspire us to be better writers. We all have much to say and question to ask.
