Disney’s Aladdin Sets Its Sights on the West End

Disney’s musical Aladdin has reportedly set its sights on the West End’s Dominion Theatre which until recently was the longterm home of We Will Rock You.

The show has been playing to packed houses on Broadway has been rumoured for a transfer to the West End and would be joining Disney’s The Lion King and Shakespeare in Love. It has previously been thought to be lined up as a replacement to Cats at the Palladium.

One minute the Broadway musical Aladdin was dancing its way through the door of the London Palladium. Now it’s cosying up to the Dominion. Disney reportedly “sees the Dominion as a grown-up theatre”. Negotiations are “ongoing”. – Baz Bamigboye
