Game of Thrones actor lands Doctor Who role!

Game of Thrones meets Doctor Who this year in a new casting for the BBC favourite.

Paul Kaye, known to us as Thoros on Game of Thrones will appear in a two-episode adventure of Doctor Who. What a brilliant casting! And Kaye is as excited as we are!

“As a kid of the 1970’s, the two shows you always watched were Top of the Pops and Doctor Who, they were unmissable,” said Kaye in a statement. “I actually wrote a song called ‘Looking for Davros’ in my first punk band and I sang it like a demented Dalek. I got to presentTOTP back in the mid ‘90s and landing this role in Doctor Who completes the dream double. Peter is a perfect Doctor and I’m loving every minute of the experience, even the five hours in make-up. What a treat, best 50th birthday present ever!”

We hear the two part tale will also feature Morven Christie, Arsher Ali, Colin McFarlane, Steven Robertson, Neil Fingleton, Zaqi Ismail, and Sophie Stone, alongside stars Capaldi and Jenna Coleman with Toby Whithouse as writer.

We can’t wait!

Doctor Who returns later in 2015.
