It’s been a great week for Game of Thrones news. We’ve had release dates and pretty exhibition goodness and now we come bearing new news!
Lets start with that April release date… you may not have to wait so long to see some sneaky season five footage. According to a fan website WinterIsComing, the US network HBO is set to release a one-off preview titled A Day in the Life on Sunday 8 February.
Little is yet known about the TV special but if season four is anything to go by, some sneaky peeks will be well worth the anticipation!
Previous Game of Thrones specials have been available to stream on the HBO website and YouTube, although how UK fans can watch the preview has yet to be announced.

In exciting news, Game of Thrones is set to become the first TV series to be screened in IMAX cinemas. Two episodes from season four will precede the first trailer for season five. The shows will be remastered in IMAX format to run for a week from 23rd-29th January.
“The Watchers on the Wall” and “The Children” are believed to be the episodes chosen to receive the epic screen treatment.
“The cinematic brilliance and grand scope of the series is perfect for the IMAX format,” said Pamela Levine, HBO’s chief marketing officer.
“We are always looking to provide fans with new and exciting ways to experience the show and viewing two key episodes, along with the new trailer, on such an impressive platform makes for a great event.”
