Another day brings another Christmassy post! Christmas means school holidays and school holidays often means bored children or even bored adults! So we’ve compiled a list of cinema releases surrounding the dates of Christmas.

Exodus: Gods and Kings: Released Boxing Day, December 26th.

Swords! Sandals! Moses! Directed by Ridley Scott. The defiant leader Moses rises up against the Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses, setting 600,000 slaves on a monumental journey of escape from Egypt and its terrifying cycle of deadly plagues.

Annie: Released Boxing Day, December 26th.

With Jay Z as producer of the new modernised version of the story about the New York orphan, this could be great Boxing Day fun for the kids!

Unbroken: Released Boxing Day, December 26th

Directed by Angelina Jolie, the story is based  on a truly an amazing survival story. Louis Zamperini was the Olympic runner who survived 47 days on a raft adrift in the Pacific before being captured by the Japanese and tortured in a prisoner of war camp.

Get Santa: OUT NOW!

We knew there had to be a Christmas movie somewhere this month!

The movie features Jim Broadbent as Father Christmas in jail! And Warwick Davis as an elf!

Nativity 3: Dude Where’s my Donkey? OUT NOW!

This Christmas the pupils of St Bernadette’s and their much-loved, madcap teacher Mr. Poppy are back for their biggest adventure yet involving fantastic flashmobs, excitable elves, Christmas carols and of course Archie the donkey!
