Felicity Jones Joins Tom Hanks in Dan Brown’s ‘Inferno’
Tom Hanks will reportedly be joined by Felicity Jones in Inferno, the third instalment of Dan Brown’s Da Vinci Code series.
Robert Langdon is gearing up for another big-screen adventure, as the adaptation of Dan Brown’s Inferno begins to take shape.
The fourth novel in Dan Brown’s mystery thriller series, Inferno, was published in 2013. The movie adaptation will begin shooting in April 2015.
Following the widely popular The Da Vinci Code, and the somewhat less successful Angels & Demons, it was unclear whether Sony would continue the adaptation series.
They’re choosing to skip the third novel, The Lost Symbol, and moving straight to the more action-packed Inferno.
Tom Hanks is back as Robert Langdon, who starts the story having lost his memories and Felicity Jones is in talks to play Sienna Brooks, the woman who helps him get them back. The two of them must explore the mystery of Dante’s Inferno, as they discover a modified version of Botticelli’s Map of Hell, and soon find themselves as moving targets for a variety of new enemies.
Felicity Jones is making waves after her impressive performance in The Theory of Everything, which was released earlier this year. She’s also rumoured to play Black Cat in a future Spider-Man movie, and we’re sure this is just the beginning of a very prosperous career!
Following its release, Inferno topped the New York Times Best Seller list for hardcover fiction, although it received a somewhat mixed reaction from critics.
Ron Howard will return to direct the sequel, having previously directed both The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons.
