‘Twilight’ promotes healthy skin?
Ok so we all know that ‘The Twilight Saga’ has effected a whole host of things ranging from car sales to children reading more but now has Stephenie Meyers ‘Twilight’ effected how people care for their skin?
The Twilight Examiner reports.
When imagining all of the potential impacts that the Twilight series films (Twilight, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) and cast members could have upon the public at large, did you envision that since some of the characters have pale skin, it would promote healthy, un-damaged complexions?
Well, according to The Independent, that is precisely what the series has done.
“Due to films such as Twilight, people have begun to see that pale skin can still be sophisticated, timeless and glamorous.”
Of course, the suggestion that tanning beds and overexposure to the sun can have long-term deleterious effects upon the health of a person’s skin has been reiterated time and time again by health officials the world over, but the modern age has certainly seen the rise of being tan as a beauty trademark. Twilight, it seems, is helping to reinstitute the tradition of natural, unenhanced tones.
“Cosmetic companies have seen a 200 per cent rise in customers snapping up pale foundation powders and liquids, which coincides with the Twilight: New Moon film,” reports The Independent (quoting Marie Claire).
See! The Twilight series can be good for your health!
So there you go! Crazy but very good 🙂
